For nine weeks in April 2013, larger-than-life koala
sculptures will be displayed on the Gold Coast showcasing
the wealth of artistic talent in the area plus drawing on national talent also. Swell Sculpture Festival is pleased to exhibit the first sculpture
for the inaugural Animals with Attitude Gold Coast Sculpture Trail in the Wallace Nicoll Park at the northern end in 2012.

The sculpture was designed and created by Academy Award
winning artist John Cox with the artwork design and painting by David
Renn.
We invite artists to submit expressions of interest to paint one of these super sized Koalas to enliven city streets, parks,
buildings and public open spaces across the Gold Coast.

The sculpture trail, spanning the length of
the Gold Coast will excite, inspire and encourage public exploration of
the city as locals and visitors discover the wonderfully and uniquely painted sculptures. A
must see during Easter School Holidays in 2013.
