Hosting or billeting a Swell Sculpture Festival artist in your home is a great way to make new friends from afar and to get insight into their artwork and what participation in the Swell Sculpture Festival means to them.
If you have a spare room with a bed that a visiting artist can call home for the duration of their stay, (artists will arrive in Currumbin between the 7th & 8th of September and leave around 19th September) we would love to hear from you!
Billeting an artist means:
Providing privacy and a bed for visiting artists;
Giving them freedom to come and go as they need to (remember, it's Swell, so there could be some early mornings and late nights).
Setting your own house rules (eg no smoking, or a specific gender that you feel comfortable billeting etc).
Billeting an artist does not require:
Providing food, transportation, parking, access to a phone, computer, or entertainment. (Unless you feel like doing any of the above, which of course you are welcome to!)
We will do our best to make sure your guest is a good "fit" for your household. The artists are genuinely grateful and thankful for your generosity and support of the Swell Sculpture Festival.
