The Swell Yanguwah Experience at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary will immerse you in an engaging evening of Indigenous Australia, native wildlife, artist talks and sculpture. The experience includes a traditional welcome ceremony, Kup Murri feast, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander song and dance performances and an introduction to native Australian animals, indigenous art and their connection to Aboriginal people.
The Kup Murri, a traditional method of cooking in the earth, delivers a delicious selection of meat and vegetable options supported by traditional mouth watering dishes and fresh fruit. Experience a meal you’ll never forget.
Doors open at 5:30pm for a 6:00pm start with the evening concluding at 9:00pm.
5:30pm Doors open to Rainforest Bar for pre-show drinks.
6:30pm Yanguwah starts with welcome ceremony and didgeridoo performance.
- Kup Murri demonstration and introduction to
traditional cooking methods of the Torres Strait Islander people.
Proceed to the Aboriginal Dance Show.
- On the way you will learn about native bush food and vegetation. Aboriginal Dance Show around campfire.
- See the Tasmanian Devil and hand feed a mob of friendly Kangaroos. Hold a baby Salt Water Crocodile. **
- Sit down to your Kup Murri buffet dinner under the big red tent.
- Swell Sculpture Artist talks & Sculpture displays
- Be engaged with the Torres Strait Islander dance show.
- Hold a Koala.
