Description
Embarking on ‘Running Rivers,’ an arts project exploring belonging, regeneration, and migrant identity, the solo exhibition ‘Pigments of Place’ in Australia unveils the odyssey of a migrant woman of colour. Navigating place through senses leads to a profound rediscovery within a decolonized body. Fairy wrens, symbolic and playful, become guides outside the studio, inviting openness, curiosity, and courage. Through ‘Running Rivers,’ the artist crafts a visual narrative transcending boundaries, urging viewers to embrace cultural roots while responding to the evolving story of place, fostering a transformative connection.
