SWELL Smalls Gallery 2023 Artwork – My Friend the Cyanobacteria
Manufactured polyethylene is sculpted with heat, water and sand into a collection of biomorphic forms and textures. Hand painted with cyanobacteria, this photosynthetic microorganism changes colour through exposure to ultraviolet light, from dark green to blue.
