Dean brings extensive executive and governance strengths to the Swell board. Living on the Gold Coast for more than 20 years, Dean’s involvement with the City has included roles such as Editor-in-Chief of the Gold Coast Bulletin, Chair of the Gold Coast Music Advisory Group, board roles with Study Gold Coast and Destination Gold Coast. He has held senior executive global roles with Southern Cross University and Griffith University as well as Executive Director of Strategy at Destination Gold Coast. He was a State Committee member of White Ribbon and chaired the Tweed-Gold Coast branch for seven years. He was a 2019 Gold Coast Citizen of the Year nominee, is a life member of Broadbeach United Soccer Club and a foundation member of the Gold Coast Titans.
