INNER CIRCLE by Clayton Blake
INNER CIRCLE invites visitors to contemplate reflection and connection. The work is formed from translucent discs that frame shifting views both inward and outward, the work explores the relationship between personal responsibility and collective action. Looking inwards, we are encouraged to consider our values, choices and capacity for change. Looking outwards, we are reminded that our actions ripple through families, communities and society. The circular form symbolises unity, equality and shared purpose. Viewer’s become part of the artwork itself, reflecting on how a better world begins within each of us and grows through all of us together.

More about Clayton Blake
Australian born Clayton Blake is a multidisciplinary installation artist widely recognized for his large scale works that employ various elements of architecture and sculpture. Clayton uses a diverse range of materials to create large scale, contemporary installations that challenge and excite. He constructs expansive works that respond to or reflect their environments, whilst challenging and distorting the viewer’s preconceptions of structures and space.
Clayton attempts to expand the definition of art to include new forms of social engagement. He uses his art to promote discussion, encourage debate, and raise awareness about injustice, inequality and social change.
