Join Thea Skelsey for a fun and relaxed painting session where you control the entirety of your creativity outcome. You will be guided step-by-step through the selection of colour and shape, every skill level is welcome. Create and take home a one-of-a-kind artwork, designed and painted by you, inspired by the work of Thea Skelsey.

Thea Skelsey is a Coolangatta based artist whose practice looks at deconstructing concepts to arrive at their most simplistic form. Through a process of elimination she cleverly distils complex ideologies and translates them into bold and defining statements that tie into her lifestyle and surround coastal landscapes. Endlessly inspired by culture, language and travel, Thea worked on numerous commissions abroad where she developed her pared back style that speaks to the integrity of form and function.

More about the Fringe Pavilion at Wallace Nicoll Park
The Fringe Pavilion is home of the SWELL Fringe and bar, located in Wallace Nicoll Park, Currumbin Beach. The Fringe Pavilion will come alive each evening with artistic programming such as live music, performance and masterclasses, plus the bar will be open daily from 12pm. Our wonderful food trucks will satisfy all of your cravings. Please note the Fringe Pavilion is a large tent, so if it’s chilly make sure you rug up.
