Join sculptor Melanie Maclou for Crimson AlLure: The Tide Garden, a free hands-on community workshop inspired by her SWELL sculpture Ocean Dancer: Crimson AlLure. Participants will create small ocean-inspired forms using colourful, recycled, lightweight materials, then attach them to a growing sculptural installation. Playful, accessible and suitable for all ages, this workshop invites many hands to help bring an abstract tide garden to life.

Melanie Maclou is a Western Australian sculptor, public artist and Senior Creative Practitioner known for large-scale, nature-inspired artworks that celebrate ocean life, flora, fauna and the wonder of the natural world. Her practice often transforms industrial materials into organic, feminine forms. Melanie has created major public artworks including underwater reef sculptures and interactive school/community projects. She is an experienced creative facilitator, delivering hands-on workshops and artist residencies that invite people of all ages into the joy of making.
