At sunset, with a killer line-up, Paul Henderson (guitar); Martha Baartz (sax); OJ Newcomb (bass); & Dave Sanders (drums), award-winning Queensland jazz vocalist, Ingrid James, presents a wide-range of vocal jazz, including the cool & the hip swing grooves from the Great American and Modern Jazz Songbooks to the cruisy, lush and warm Brazilian Bossa Novas and Sambas, as well as re-imagined and re-grooved classic pop songs from The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Blood Sweat & Tears and more… followed by the iconic Jazz Singers’ Jam Session “Under the Stars”.

Ingrid James is an award-winning Queensland jazz singer, educator, songwriter and recording artist, who recorded a dozen albums and has performed locally, national and internationally, collaborating with musicians in the USA, France, the UK, Czech Republic and locally.She has been as comfortable performing as a duet as she has as soloist with the Queensland Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras. Ingrid recently received the Lord Mayor’s Australia Day Cultural/Arts Award for her services in the Community. Her latest CD “Search for Peace” has been released by ABC Jazz.

The Fringe Pavilion is home of the SWELL Fringe and bar, located in Wallace Nicoll Park, Currumbin Beach. The Fringe Pavilion will come alive each evening with artistic programming such as live performance and masterclasses, plus the bar will be open daily from 12pm.
