Shelly Kelly
Shelly Kelly is a Brisbane-based installation artist with a PhD from Queensland University of Technology. Her practice explores sensory experience, inclusion, and environmental change. Over the past 15 years, Kelly has worked with neurodivergent children in schools, informing interactive sensory sculptures such as Tactile One, which won the Kid’s Choice Prize at SWELL (2019). Her recent work, Oasis, incorporated visual feedback and vestibular engagement to create a calming interactive environment. Earlier projects addressed climate change, including Grass Cubed, ‘house on a river,’ and RedDer. Kelly has exhibited nationally and internationally, including Sculpture by the Sea and EASTinternational (UK).
