Sam Gowing

Sam Gowing is a multifaceted creative with a deep passion for the environment. Her practice spans sculpture, design, teaching, and sustainability advocacy, shaped by over three decades of experience across Melbourne, Sydney, and the Gold Coast. A graduate of the College of Fine Arts (COFA), Sam’s work explores themes of identity, nature and environmental awareness. Her sculptural practice focuses on the fragility and resilience of wildlife, often using altered scale, unexpected colour, and illumination. These evolving, ethereal works invite reflection on humanity’s connection to the natural world and the delicate balance that sustains it.
