Giuseppe Filardo

Giuseppe has been creating artworks for over 40 years. Originally from Melbourne, he migrated to Brisbane in 2004, and he is closely tied to his Italian heritage.
He is a multi-disciplinary artist who engages in Social Commentary as he is deeply concerned with worldly, immediate social and physical environments, and has a passion for Activism and a heart for Social Justice. His practice consists of upcycling and recycling waste materials within his work. His works consist of sculptures, paintings, installations, video, public art and drawings. He is also an Arts Educator in Government and Private Institutions in QLD and VIC.
