Elizabeth O'Connor
Colour, form and texture are foundational elements in O’Connor’s diverse and explorative creative practice. Holding a BA Visual Arts and utilising a medley of surfaces as her playground, she embarks on a boundless artistic odyssey, fuelled by experimentation and various mediums, reminiscent of past experiences. Embracing transformation, O’Connor explores seemingly insignificant objects (paper and fabric her primary muses), examining their quiet potential to inspire confident expression. Using the force of her body, she coaxes the metal sheet to surrender it’s two-dimensional rigidity, hand guiding it into the realm of multidimensionality to reveal an alluring three-dimensional embodiment of bold, minimalist form.
