Susi Muddiman OAM

Director

Susi has over 30 years’ experience as a director of regional galleries, including Grafton, Wagga Wagga, Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre, HOTA Gallery and Ngununggula, Southern Highlands Regional Gallery. She has led across curatorial practice, capital and policy development, with a focus on strengthening financial sustainability and elevating the profile of galleries and artists through exhibitions, programs, and philanthropy.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland and a Diploma in Australian Studies (Australian Art). Susi has served on key arts boards and committees, including the NSW Visual Arts Board, Museums & Galleries NSW, and the Regional Galleries Association of NSW (as President), and has curated numerous touring exhibitions.

At Tweed Regional Gallery, she led the development of the Margaret Olley Art Centre, a major cultural project that has delivered significant economic and cultural benefit for the region. She was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in 2015 for service to museums and galleries in New South Wales. Susi is passionate about working with artists and creativesβ€”and enjoys a glass of champagne.
