2020 SWELL ARTWORK – Stacked Chairs, Alexander Piperides
Stacked Chairs is an assembly of found chairs, portraying a column like structure. Although each chair has its own individual memory and function, they have become dependent on one another; the failure of one chair could result in the failure of the whole system. I would like to think of this similar to our current lives; where we are all at some stage or another, in the midst of balancing various responsibilities, whether intentional or not.
