2020 SWELL ARTWORK – The Alley Sirens, Charlie Trivers
The forms in this sculpture are derived and inspired by coastal sandstone formations found naturally carved by time and natural chiselling. The sandstone formations that interest me remind me of Amoeba like Mobius loops. This interest has led me to a body of work called Links Layers Loops. This body of work investigates the sculptural possibilities of linking loops into a composition. Because of the amoebic like form of the loops the elements of design in the composition are often derived by chance.
Come and see for yourself at SWELL Sculpture Festival, Pacific Parade, Currumbin 11-20 September.
