About Allen Lucini
Allen Lucini is an Architect and emerging artist. His hand-crafted works are explorations of the imagination and are a response to the immediate world around him. His drawings and form-making reflect his architectural background as he creates imagery using his technical skills and sensibilities as an architect and designer. He is fascinated by the concept of construction and the consequence of deconstruction – the idea of making and then breaking. His approach to art is intuitive and experimental and the conceptual starting point is always. The main objective of his art is to get people engaged and emerged.
2022 SWELL ARTWORK – Seascrape, Allen Lucini
The public is invited to immerse themselves in the work by passing through the passage, and are encouraged to leave a mark of their existence by scraping the internal surface.
As an artist I am interested in the concept of construction and deconstruction – at the end of the festival, the wall will bear the scars of its existence in time and be a testimony of the visitors who passed through the narrow passageway.
Allen Lucini is an architect and self-taught artist who is interested in the idea of construction and the action of deconstruction, and in creating spaces and opportunities in the natural and built environments which engage and emerge people into the surrounding context.
