2022 SWELL ARTWORK – Plucka Duck
Plucka Duck consists of an arcade claw machine filled with rubber ducks.
The sculpture explores the idea of technology taking over the environment and its impact on animals. Australia has the worst mammal extinction rate of any country in the world. Patrons are invited to use the machine and win a pink duck. Proceeds from the Claw Machine will be donated to Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. Save our wildlife!
2022 INDUSTRIAL SWELL ARTWORK – The Umbrella Effect
Umbrella Effect consists of 3 colourful umbrellas positioned upside down, which transforms at night with neon lighting installed within the umbrella poles. The sculpture takes on a physical interpretation of the term “umbrella effect,”commenting on the imbalance on the environment and climate. This imbalance is further communicated with the upside down umbrella positioned at a slight angle, allowing the overflow of water to spill from the side of the umbrella.
