2023 SWELL ARTWORK – Octopus Dreaming
‘Octopus Dreaming’ is an intricately crafted wire sculpture depicting an octopus, created by Jobella from Wedgetail Winds Studio. Through this sculpture, the artist explores the graceful and mysterious nature for these fascinating creatures, as well as the interconnectedness and fluidity of life itself.
Jobella was inspired by the ethereal beauty of the octopuses and sought to capture their essence using the medium of wire. The sculpture’s dynamic and sinuous form reflects the octopus’ ability to effortlessly navigate it’s watery environment, evoking a sense of movement and vitality.
