Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School

Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School is a leading institution celebrated for its progressive approach to blending traditional artistic methods with emerging technologies. The Creative Industries Faculty specializes in cultivating interdisciplinary connections that empower students to address contemporary issues through art and design.
With a passion for collaborative practice, Faculty Director Jane Brennan & Coordinator Kieran Davis, are spearheading a groundbreaking project for this year’s SWELL Sculpture Festival, marking the first time student work will represent the school. The initiative unites the talents of students from Visual Arts, Design, and Textiles to create a sculptural piece that delves into the nexus of environmental preservation, historical understanding, and future unity.

The ‘Child’s Play’ project embodies the Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School’s ethos of innovation and experimentation, integrating time-honored techniques with cutting-edge methods such as 3D printing, sustainable material exploration, and textile manipulation. By encouraging students to reflect on humanity’s shared history and envision a harmonious, sustainable future, the collaboration not only develops artistic and technical skills but also instills a deep sense of purpose and interconnectedness.
Can creativity and play solve big problems? We like to think so.
