Studio Kite
Steven Rosewell director of Studio Kite in Byron Bay. Since the late 80s he has been designing, sculpting, painting and engineering thousands of extraordinary objects for the entertainment industry. His skills and workshop helps many other artists bring their ideas to life. Traditional processes such as clay and moulding were never enough for him so Steven was a very early adopter of 3d modelling and 3d printing he is now a well known maverick in these disciplines. To fully harness this technology Steven designed and built 2 giant 3d printers and now 3dprints using recycled materials and low toxic finishes. Steven is haunted by our loss of biodiversity and climate change, so now he concentrates on creating solutions to reduce our emissions and waste, one of these ways is help spread the message of “we are not doing enough”. He hopes his efforts and artist abilities can make a difference.
