Jan Brown

Jan Brown”s intricate woven copper forms are an exploration of the environments in which she lives and travels. Her suspended, organic works, evoke emergence and resilence hovering between delicacy and strength.
Drawing on her background in ceramics, Brown translates the hand-coiling processes of clay into metal, reinterpreting this tactile language through copper wire. Light moves through each form, activating texture, shadow and space.
