Melanie Maclou
Melanie Maclou is a Western Australian sculptor and creative practitioner known for large-scale, nature-inspired public artworks that explore the relationship between people, place, and the natural world. Working primarily with aluminium, steel, and concrete, she transforms industrial materials into fluid, organic forms that balance strength with delicacy. Since 2008, her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including Sculpture by the Sea and major public art projects in Australia and China. Alongside her studio practice, Melanie works extensively in schools and communities, using art as a catalyst for connection, curiosity, and environmental care.
