Amanda Stuart & Renee Coombe
QLD
Renee Coombe and Amanda Stuart are educators and artists whose collaborative practice focuses on environmental awareness and care for coastal ecosystems. Their sculptural works draw inspiration from the natural world, presented as abstract, mutated forms that juxtapose the long lifespan of plastic waste with natureβs capacity for adaptation and resilience. Renee works primarily with recycled polyethylene, addressing concerns about waste and microplastics. Amanda is a prolific ceramic artist and environmental conservation advocate who collects textures from the coastline and transforms them into ceramic forms. Together, they create interactive works incorporating movement and sound, inviting reflection on marine health.
