What was the inspiration behind your piece for SWELL Sculpture Festival 2022?
This is my tribute to nature and the natural world. The nature of which we are a part, but which man seems to forget by positioning himself as an outsider. By attempting to dominate, man thus creates devastating imbalances that impact not only our relationship with nature but with ourselves—the internal. This process is made even more evident in an era dominated by technology.
Contemplate nature in all its beauty, calmness and brutal rawness. We shall find peace and a reconnection of the self in our embrace of nature.
What does exhibiting in the 20th year of SWELL Sculpture Festival mean to you?
it is an honour to be part of 20th year SWELL sculpture festival.
Do you think coriander tastes like soap?
a little bit… but I love it!
What might people be surprised to learn about you?
When I was 6 I thought I was going to be the Pope.
Do you have any artist pet peeves? What are they?
That everyone thinks to be an artist.
You went to grab your favourite mug, but have found a Genie living inside of it – what are your three wishes?

Are there any budding artists that you’re excited to see evolve?
Yeah.
What is the strangest food combo that you love?
Prosciutto and melone.

Eagle.
Do you have a favourite quote or mantra that you live by?
Gnoti Seauton – Know thyself.
What is your favourite snack when working on big projects?
Pane e nutella – bread and nutella.
Does music impact your art? What kind of music do you create to?
Yes, I always listen to music when I work.
