Wilder than your most fantastic dreams, nudibranchs are true shape shifters. Most are just a few millimetres in size, but they have astonishing powers: many “steal” organelles and toxins from their prey to use themselves. Some can sting, others photosynthesise! We are still learning about these magnificent creatures. Over 3000 species have been identified world wide, with over 1200 in South East Queensland.
