Traces is a series of hand-embossed prints. On the one-hand the Soy Sushi fish is a wonderful design, perfectly sized, convenient, functional and importantly, beautiful. On the other hand is represents a proliferation of plastics, which make their way into our eco-systems. Degraded micro and nano plastics while almost invisible, are as insidious as large pieces of plastic pollution. Like a school of fish, the edition is mutable, no-one image is the same, each fish is hand-embossed individually in 3 layers, it’s composition is unique, like a moment in time.
