Description
Warren Pickering’s current series of ‘Seed’ sculptures responds to the multiplex nature of the seed. It considers the biorhythms that dictate life, and examines how these processes coincide between person and plant. Pickering uses metalwork in order to elaborate on these organic forms, bringing visibility to the miniscule.
Each sculpture uses recycled steel that is cut with a hand held plasma cutter, shaped with hammers, cleaned with a grinder and welded together.
