This trio of mosaic birds explores the tension between broken and unbroken – how fragments can be reimagined into new forms of wholeness. Made from shards of blue-and-white porcelain and china, each piece reflects my long fascination with the delicate beauty of ceramic patterning and the wild intelligence of birds. Living in the Australian bush, surrounded by birdsong, plumage and feathered movement, I am drawn to their presence. Through a wabi-sabi lens, these works honour imperfection and transformation.
