Kick off SWELL 2024 with a soulful and eclectic performance by Bronte Eve Trio. Featuring DJ Eyeaam (Meanjin/Brisbane) and her unique blend of classic 90s tunes combined with house and afro beats, to lead the night into. boogie, Bronte Eve trio will invite us into soul and storytelling, with their stripped back jazz soul fusion.
A fun Friday night promising a blend of soul, jazz, and classic music, showcasing Queensland’s talented musicians, come experience the opening night of SWELL by serenading in local music & showcasing local creatives.

Traversing the vinyl paved streets on a journey to the outer limits of sound, Gold Coast (via Melbourne) DJ Acid Joe has been playing his records in venues and at events up and down the East Coast for over a decade.
An accomplished collector and boss selector, he enjoys nothing more than sharing his ever-growing selection of records spanning an eclectic array of genres and eras. From classic sounds such as soul, funk, disco and garage through to crate digging Afrobeat, electro and psych infused delights and beyond, his sets will have you dancing and shazamming in equal measure.

The Fringe Pavilion is home of the SWELL Fringe and bar, located in Wallace Nicoll Park, Currumbin Beach. The Fringe Pavilion will come alive each evening with artistic programming such as live music, performance and masterclasses, plus the bar will be open to the public daily from 12 – 8pm. Our wonderful food vendors will be open to satisfy all of your cravings. Please note the Fringe Pavilion is a large tent, so if it’s chilly make sure you rug up.
