NGAARU x Mikalah Watego is a dynamic collaboration between the Yaegl cousins behind NGAARU and Yugambeh/Bundjalung DJ Mikalah Watego. Based on Yugambeh country (Gold Coast), the trio brings together deep cultural roots, groovy music, and a shared love for music that moves people.
Blending traditional instruments, steady rhythms, and smooth basslines, NGAARU x Mikalah Watego create a space where culture flows through every beat—and the dancefloor feels like home.

The Fringe Pavilion is home of the SWELL Fringe and bar, located in Wallace Nicoll Park, Currumbin Beach. The Fringe Pavilion will come alive each evening with artistic programming such as live music, performance and masterclasses, plus the bar will be open daily from 12pm. Our wonderful food trucks will satisfy all of your cravings. Please note the Fringe Pavilion is a large tent, so if it’s chilly make sure you rug up.
