Join Swing-A-Billy Ray as he waxes lyric on the ole decks along with the Swing On In dancers and together they keep the swingin vibe high and g’tee a SWELL night of entertainment and dancing tunes for all Fringers! Covering 1920s to 1980s hits, with a heavy focus on swing, blues, rockabilly, and rhythm & blues from the ‘40s, ‘50s, and ‘60s, Ray’s sets are a vibrant mix of high-energy classics and rare vintage gems.

A true maestro of the decks and an entertainer through and through, Swing-A-Billy Ray Keepence has been setting dance floors alight for over 30 years. Ray has been a staple at Australia’s top nostalgia festivals and music events, earning a reputation as one of the most sought-after vintage DJs in the scene. In 2014, he made history as the first-ever Australian DJ to be invited to play at Viva Las Vegas, the world’s most renowned rockabilly festival. His pioneering set paved the way for many other Aussie artists to grace the Viva stage.

The Fringe Pavilion is home of the SWELL Fringe and bar, located in Wallace Nicoll Park, Currumbin Beach. The Fringe Pavilion will come alive each evening with artistic programming such as live music, performance and masterclasses, plus the bar will be open daily from 12pm. Our wonderful food trucks will satisfy all of your cravings. Please note the Fringe Pavilion is a large tent, so if it’s chilly make sure you rug up.
