Drawing Workshop with Giuseppe Filardo
Come join Giuseppe Filardo for a fun couple of hours creating from his found objects collection to create something interesting and original. This is Giuseppe’s 8th SWELL this year and some of his past sculptural highlights include ‘I SEA’ (giant wooden glasses), ‘Lobsterarri’ (life sized Ferrari turned into a Lobster, and his ‘Weapons of Mass Creations’ (giant tools and implements disguised as military weapons). He has a passion for found used things that he keeps just in case he can use them in another way that he can’t throw away!

More about Giuseppe Filardo
Giuseppe has been creating artworks for over 40 years. He is a multi-disciplinary artist who engages in Social Commentary as he is deeply concerned with worldly, immediate social and physical environments, and has a passion for Activism and a heart for Social Justice. His practice consists of upcycling and recycling waste materials within his work. His works consist of sculptures, paintings, installations, video, public art and drawings. He has been and is also an Arts Educator in Government and Private Institutions in QLD and VIC.
