Create your own playful sculpture in Limbo – Figures in Motion. In this hands-on workshop, participants will turn wire, foil and everyday materials into expressive long-limbed figures full of movement and personality. Learn simple sculptural building techniques, explore balance and form, then finish your artwork with colour and detail. Perfect for young creatives, teens or adults, this engaging workshop encourages imagination, confidence and fun while introducing the exciting world of three-dimensional art.

Sam Gowing is a multidisciplinary artist and experienced workshop facilitator based on the Gold Coast. Working across sculpture, drawing and mixed media, she creates playful contemporary artworks celebrating movement, texture and handmade process. Sam has delivered engaging art workshops for children and community audiences, encouraging creativity, confidence and experimentation. She has exhibited in sculpture festivals including SWELL and other public art programs. Her workshops focus on making art accessible, enjoyable and expressive for all skill levels, inspiring participants to enjoy the creative process.

The Fringe Pavilion is home of the SWELL Fringe and bar, located in Wallace Nicoll Park, Currumbin Beach. The Fringe Pavilion will come alive each evening with artistic programming such as live performance and masterclasses, plus the bar will be open daily from 12pm.
