Mandalas in the Wind: Create Your Own Personal Wind Chime

Join artist Sara Nejad for a hands-on workshop to create unique wind-chimes to take home. Inspired by nature and cultural patterns, this session welcomes all skill levels.

Begin by drawing and colouring a mandala onto pre-cut sheets while listening to soothing Persian inspired music. Sara will share visual references inspired by Persian and natural motifs to use or reinterpret. You will then assemble your wind-chime using a selection of natural and found materials. You are encouraged to bring small personal or collected items to make your piece more meaningful and unique. These items could be anything light enough to hang with a thread, like shells, seeds, feathers, or small, memorable objects.

When | Wednesday 16th September
Time | 1.00pm – 5.00pm
Where | SWELL Smalls Gallery, VIKA, Currumbin Beach
Cost | $141.43 + Booking Fee
