The Listening Sea presents two abstract forms inspired by the shape of a whale’s cochlea. Constructed from ceramic elements and PET plastic, the work responds to wind and proximity. As air passes through, small bells ring and recycled plastic softly resonates, creating a gentle auditory experience. Rather than focusing on damage, the sculpture invites mindful listening and celebrates the increasing guardianship of marine health. It acknowledges positive action, collective responsibility, and the progress being made towards ocean conservation and climate awareness, inviting coastal visitors to participate in this evolving story.
