You’re invited to SWELL Fired Feast! An evening of delectable indulgence, gather around and treat your senses to a one-of-a-kind culinary and artistic experience under the stars. Executive Chef Rafa will be firing up a 3-course feast crafted from sustainably sourced local produce, all cooked to perfection over flame.
Local artists have handmade the ceramic plates you’ll be eating from (take yours home as a keepsake!) and groove to the sounds of DJ Swing Billy Ray as he spins old-school vinyl’s to set the perfect mood. The fire will be glowing, the drinks flowing and the vibes immaculate.
Bring your friends and family and experience an evening of food, fire, music and art at SWELL Fringe — an event that nourishes the body and soul. SWELL Fringe Bar will be open.

More about Chef Rafa Dias
Chef Rafa, a third-generation restaurateur from São Paulo, Brazil, began his family’s culinary legacy in 1978 when his grandmother transformed their restaurant into a local institution. In Australia, he started at Seascape Restaurant and Bar in Surfers Paradise, then made significant contributions to Seduction at Peppers Soul.
During his 7 years with The Star group, he showcased his expertise at renowned establishments including Cucina Vivo, Kiyomi, Garden Kitchen & Bar, and the exclusive Sovereign Kitchen & Bar in the Darling Hotel. Chef Rafa also left a lasting impact as a key member of the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre, contributing to prestigious events including the Logies 2021.

The Fringe Pavilion is home of the SWELL Fringe and bar, located in Wallace Nicoll Park, Currumbin Beach. The Fringe Pavilion will come alive each evening with artistic programming such as live music, performance and masterclasses, plus the bar will be open daily from 12pm. Our wonderful food trucks will satisfy all of your cravings. Please note the Fringe Pavilion is a large tent, so if it’s chilly make sure you rug up.
