The session of slow, meditative mark-making will cover an introduction to the pyro pen and foundational techniques, followed by a guided drawing and burning of the beloved Australian botanical, the banksia, on a pine panel canvas.
Join pyrographer Emily Rose Hastie for an intimate, hands-on workshop celebrating the coastal Banksia, a beloved Australian botanical icon. You’ll learn foundational wood burning techniques before creating your own beautiful Banksia study, guided every step of the way. Watch as fire transforms timber into art, capturing the bold texture and character of this iconic native. No experience necessary, just curiosity and a steady hand.
