We are thrilled to have Deborah McCormick visiting the Gold Coast to present a City Building Seminar and Public Art Masterclass. With 25 years’ experience bringing art into public spaces, Deborah is an industry leader and visionary with expertise in public and private partnership models, project delivery, arts management, public arts policy, strategic business planning and public and international relations.

CITY OF GOLD COAST – CITY BUILDING SEMINAR – FREE

Deborah McCormick will explore in this seminar her 25-year tenure as Executive Director of SCAPE Public Art, including the vision setting, strategies, planning and modes of practice formed. These enabled public art to take on an urgent necessary role in rehabilitating, defining and elevating spaces in the aftermath of the earthquakes of Ōtautahi Christchurch.

Join Deborah McCormick for an engaging, interactive public art masterclass for mid-career artists and arts professionals designed to equip you with the skills, information and resources required to take leading roles in developing public art projects, including creative disaster recovery projects.

Creative Australia’s Fundamentals of Arts Fundraising is a one-day workshop that is ideal for arts organisations and artists looking for the knowledge, confidence, and inspiration to grow income from philanthropy and partnerships.

This workshop is ideal for:

  • Arts professionals who want to learn the basics of arts fundraising, philanthropy and sponsorship

  • Arts professionals with some fundraising experience and knowledge, or

  • Board members of arts organisations interested in diversifying their organisation’s income streams
