Description
The East Coast pink acorn barnacle is a beautiful object that gets washed up from the sea. Collecting handfuls of these precious pink treasures, I am struct by the different shapes and sizes of these organic forms and that beautiful pink colour. Coil built in paper porcelain, my vessels are surfaced with etching and underglaze, layered with pink glossy glazes to emulate wet barnacles. They have weathered and worn patches from the sea, using several lava glaze recipes for texture and authenticity.
