Description
‘Lament’ explores the tenuous emotion of grief as it comes and goes in waves with the anticipation of loss. The work is a physical manifestation of a site-specific performance on the land adjacent to the Wollemi Forest, Bilpin NSW. The work explores the ongoing expectations of grief surrounding the impending death of the artist’s mother, and more generally delves into the progressively overwhelming feelings surrounding the passing of family and friends.
