Description
Along the banks of Currumbin Creek and amongst the mangroves at the sea mouth, the pale faced heron stands immobile as if guarding the borders of its domain. Its elegant form etches itself against the landscape – the perfect hunter keeping a lookout while waiting for unwary prey to come with range of its lethal beak.

About the Artist
Margaret is an experienced mosaic artist, and sculptor who has been creating unique pieces for many years. Her artistic journey began with the use of crockery and scrap tile, but her curiosity and passion for art have led her to incorporate a diverse range of materials such as marble, stone, slate, smalti, glass, and various metals. Her explorations into the third dimension have allowed her to create not only wall reliefs but also sculptural forms that express her designs and ideas more fully. Her work can be found in private collections across Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland, and the United States.
