Description

This sculpture is crafted from found limestone, newspaper pulp and wire. It comes from an ongoing of series sculptures titled, The Secret Life of Rocks. This rock’s secret is hidden inside, deep roots anchoring the delicate flower to it. The flower sways and vibrates in a breeze but holds strong. Roots symbolise our need to create and nurture a strong foundation from within, to ground and support a person through tough times. Like roots these inner strengths and resources are hidden and regularly need food and tending to stay strong.
