This small collection of vessels represents a larger, ongoing body of work in which the artist explores repetition as a necessary stepping stone to creativity and experimentation. The meditative process dedicated to perfecting helps build the foundation that allows the artist to experiment with proportion, surface and idea in other facets of their practice.

About the Artist
Claudia is a Gold Coast based ceramic artist, exploring the functional, sculptural and conceptual potential of clay as a medium. Underscored by a deep connection to material and process, her work often references classical forms whilst drawing on a playful and fluid approach, allowing her to evolve collections into installation artworks. Through her work Claudia explores the tension between durability, sustainability and the consumption of natural resources, referencing the ceramic objects as both objects of artefacts and the everyday. Drawing on her background in sculpture and installation art, Claudia has gone on to exhibit work in a number of exhibitions over the years. Notably, her inclusion in the debut exhibition, Solid Gold, at Home of the Art on the Gold Coast along with several outdoor sculptural installations including work for Hidden Sculpture Exhibition (Sydney) and SWELL Sculpture Festival (Gold Coast).
