Description
The Shape of Love is inspired by the delicate web of interconnected relationships that weave through our lives and help us to feel love and loved. They take many shapes including familial ties, all kinds of marriages, platonic love, same sex relationships, polyamory, monogamy, serial monogamy, living together, and pet love. Regardless, our bodies and especially our hearts, respond and bloom. This body of work explores my intuitive experience of my own relationship energy exchanges and those I observe in others.

About the Artist
Annie Long is a visual artist with hand-built sculpture at the heart of her practice. Originally from Sydney, she completed an Advanced Diploma in Ceramics in 2002 on the Sunshine Coast, concentrating on sculpture. After moving to the Northern Rivers in 2011, she completed a degree in Visual Arts (3D) with Honours in 2016 at Southern Cross University, expanding her art practice to explore multimedia sculptures and installations. Her artworks serve as a catalyst for dialogue, encouraging viewers to connect with the environment, nature, and the stories that shape the world around them. A regular exhibitor at Yellowtail Studio at M-Arts, Murwillumbah, she has also exhibited in outdoor exhibitions with Brunswick Nature Sculpture Walk, Sculpture in the Gaol, Sculpture on the Edge and Swell.
