Description
In this sculpture artist Russell Solomon offers a sense of joy, affection and curiosity representing an iconic scene, which has played out on Australian shores for over one hundred million years. Hatchling Sea Turtles emerging from their eggs, embark on the perilous journey of life are represented with whimsical little wire sculptures, the eggs are created from recycled plastic milk bottles. The artist has chosen these materials with intention to express his concern for baby and juvenile sea turtles experiencing their greatest challenge in one hundred million years, Anthropocene plastic pollution.
