About the Artist
Tania Blanchard is an abstract artist based in Burleigh Heads, Queensland. She holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts from The University of South Australia and transitioned from a career in graphic design to full time art practice in 2015. Her work is characterised by meticulous “impasto dots” and systematic colour application, inspired by everyday experiences and emotions. Tania has achieved significant success, including directing her own gallery, featuring in major media outlets, and winning the ‘After Dark Award’ at the 2023 Gold Coast Swell Sculpture Festival. Currently, she is exploring new technical approaches to her idiosyncratic “dot” style, and new ways to exhibit her work to continue to evolve her craft.
