Ocean Qi Gong with Alice MacKinnon
Qigong (pronounced ‘Chee Gong’) is an ancient Chinese mindful movement practice related to Tai Chi. It involves stretching, activating energy, strengthening, flexibility, opening and rotating joints, dynamic balancing and serene flows – all with deep, long, slow breathing that connects the body and mind. Qigong is a wonderful practice for all ages and levels of fitness. It’s accessible and fun to participate in. The benefits of this mindful movement practice include increased energy; reduced stress; greater feelings of peace & steadiness (emotionally, mentally & physically); stronger feet, ankles, knees and legs; improved mobility; improved dynamic balance & centre of gravity awareness; and increased flexibility.
