SWELL Sounds featuring Coral Reef & Freddie Fresh
Experience the sounds of Coral Reef, a retro inspired surf instrumentals band led by local guitarist Matthew Armitage. You can hear the Influence of the early sounds of surf rock music but also the sea side culture of the Gold Coast and Byron Bay. This band enjoys the absence of singing and song to take a listener on a sonic ride through the imagination, driven by propulsive drums, thumping bass and jangly echos.

The Fringe Pavilion is home of the SWELL Fringe and bar, located in Wallace Nicoll Park, Currumbin Beach. The Fringe Pavilion will come alive each evening with artistic programming such as live music, performance and masterclasses, plus the bar will be open to the public daily from 12 – 8pm. Our wonderful food vendors will be open to satisfy all of your cravings. Please note the Fringe Pavilion is a large tent, so if it’s chilly make sure you rug up.
